Four Suggestions for Fabulous Fun

October 01, 2018

Louisville’s dynamic entertainment and arts scene always offers our guests a myriad of events and festivals, and this month is no exception - four of our favorites are listed here for your consideration. First, don’t miss the Jack O' Lantern Spectacular, with 5,000 carved pumpkins lining a quarter-mile trail in Iroquois Park from October 9 – November 4. This event begins at dusk, and the glow and the show are nothing less than spectacular. Proceeds benefit the Louisville Parks Foundation. Next, indulge your taste buds at the original “Taste of Louisville” on October 17 at Churchill Downs. You’ll savor flavors from some of the city’s unrivaled chefs and restaurants while supporting the home team, as all proceeds benefit Jill’s Wish of Louisville, Love City, and Home of the Innocents. Next, join the fun on October 20-21 at the Big Four Bridge Lawn in Waterfront Park as 100 artists create a masterpiece at the Via Colori Festival. Famously known as Kentucky's Largest Street Painting Festival, the party will include music, food, street performers, and more. Lastly, enjoy a bloody good time with a performance of “Dracula” at the Bingham Theater through October 31. For tickets and details, call (502) 584-1205.
