How to Celebrate Oktoberfest Louisville-style
The German-American Club Geseangverein of Louisville dates back to 1878. Its mission is to promote German Culture by holding concerts and activities in and around the city. You can celebrate Oktoberfest on your next trip to Louisville by attending their bi-weekly Biergarten, held every other Saturday from 6 PM - 10 PM. The GACG brings in live music for every Biergarten. In October you can hear The Rounders (Oct 8th) and Steve Owen (Oct 22nd). On October 16th, GAGC is hosting a special event, a screening of The Rhine Valley, a video voyage that follows the Rhine's natural beauty from Dusseldorf to Mainz. The German-American Club is located at 1850 Lincoln Avenue, a quick ten minute drive from the Brown Hotel.
