A Bit More About the Louisville Palace

Opened in 1928, the 2700-seat Louisville Palace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Spanish Baroque style theater features a stunning lobby and grand foyer that is richly decorated in vibrant shades of blue, red and gold. The curved, vaulted ceiling includes carvings of Socrates, Beethoven and Abraham Lincoln, and a hidden carving of the building's architect, John Eberson.

Since many of the shows at the Louisville Palace sell out well in advance, it takes a little planning to ensure that you get the seat you want. Fortunately, being so close to our hotel makes it convenient to stop by the box office any weekday between noon and 5pm as well as two hours before any show. You can also purchase tickets online anytime. For those of you with a special affinity for historic architecture, free tours of the Louisville Palace can be scheduled by calling 502.583.4555 extension 224.
